My first game

I didn't think I'd get this far. I'm just happy to be here, haha. 

Hi, you can call me Marcel, and I wrote this little short story. It's based on a song by the same name on my Youtube channel that I wrote to be really vague on purpose many years ago. Fleshing it out, giving it a proper story and connection to my other stories - it was really fun. I didn't think I'd be able to finish it at times - a lot of times. I'm here, though, and I'm super nervous about it. If anyone has constructive feedback about my game, I'd love to read your comments! I'm very excited to know people's thoughts on my work - equally anxious and excited, lol. 

Given how many times I remade assets, touched things up, rewrote the story - it was a lot. That was on top of the curveballs I kept getting thrown at me with life, which definitely slowed things down. Honestly, I'm just so glad my close friends were willing to playtest the game for me. It's very much a comfort to know they enjoyed it, and that it ran smoothly. I hope you will enjoy it as well! 

The story's kind of a prologue, it sets certain events in motion that will snowball into what happens in my next story - Strange Little Town. That one's gonna take a while because the scope is MUCH larger. I want that game to be many hours, with four routes and multiple choices. Given how long it took me to make a roughly 45 minute story on my own, it might take a while - but I do have a lot of the groundwork for Strange Little Town laid out. I'm mostly revising character designs at the moment, since I'll be commissioning someone instead of drawing it myself, so I want to make sure it's what I really want first. I have... A very small budget. Like... Bread crumbs, a marble, and a paper clip type of budget. I'll push through though! No matter what! Strange Little Town is really my dream project. I'm getting a bit off topic, though.
